Rhodolite Garnet is a mix between Pyrope and Almandine Garnets. While being created this type of Garnet often genererates microscopic bubbles. This is called silk and silk is very common in Rhodolite. This example here is full of silk and these invisible bubbles create this shine-less effect but still very colorful. Because of this reason this 5ct gemstone is sold very cheap.
